Yeongsi is a style of Chinese verse with rhyming word and it is a flower of the classical poem. Many literary men like to recite.
Sichang(Singing folk song) is originated from an officer who read the poetry and prose which won the first place in the higher civil service examination loudly in front of the crowd. These Songseo · Yeongsi · Changsi are the essence of Confusian ideas and need to be preserved, because of its academic quality and cultural quality.
- Brief survey of Lee Yunhyoung’s career
The old Lee, Yun-hyoung formed a union of 10 members to lecture Korean verse to them in 1975, and founded Korean classical music Association in 1981 and taught Korean verse & Gyeonggi Chang to 20 members. Also he made Korean verse class of 28 high school students and won the Encouragement prize. He got credit for these and awarded Korean classical music distinguished service prize from Korean classical music Association and 21st social education prize from Ministry of Education for a reward.
These days he gives free short course every Saturday(14:00~17:00) at the Community center for teenagers to develop and spread the traditional culture.
