Sapae is a tenet issued by King. Sapaeji is a special land given by King for his service to country or Royal family. Sometimes it is called Sajeon or Byeolsajeon.

According to legend handed down, General Eo Yuso hit a flying kite with an arrow during hunting around Eodeungsan(Mt.) together with King Seongjong. In commemoration of the hunting, the King granted the land around Dongducheon to the General and a stone was set up at the point where the kite fell.

At the opposite side of the boundary stone, next to the rear gate of Saengyeon Elementary School, is another warrior stone, which was set up to prevent blessings from those who deserted the cause, according to legend.
