Songseo is reciting popular poems of ancient good writers and Yulchang is singing Chinese poem also called Sichang. The old Lee, Yunhyoung master of Songseo and Yulchang was designated as intangible cultural asset No.32 in August 21, 2000 and has been held a regular performance every October. These days Han, Byoung-ok, the chairman of the preservation society, is responsible for preparing the regular performance and transmit Songseo and Yulchang from generation to generation.

Dongduchoennae Korean old folk song is performed by Dongduchoennae Korean old folk song preservation society to cheer the farmers’ cooperative group during the hard farmwork and to encourage the cooperative spirit in Dongducheon(old Eedam-Myeon). It is held at Soyo Maple festival.

The street concert is held in Wangbang valley, car-free street, and so on to solve too much emphasis on certain areas 4 times every June to September. It also helps the groups which are performable in our area to show their performance and to determine the base of local culture and art.

The association of Korean classical music, art, literary men, music, and entertainment that is under Korean Art Association Dongducheon branch, manages Dongducheon Art festival. There are a number of programs such as the unveiling ceremony of the monument, art exhibition, Korean classical music song festival, together Dongducheon citizen song festival, and classic music concert.

Eedam Pungmulnolee is performed regularly to transmit, preserve, and develop the local traditional instrumental music of peasants of Dongducheon. It has participated in 58 contests such as Suwon World cup opening ceremony, Korean classical music festival, and the invitation performance in China Pungmulnolee festival since 2006. It promotes the pride of Dongducheon by being awarded 34 prizes that are the first prize of Gyounggi-Do traditional art festival, the first prize of Baudokee national Pungmul contest, the first prize in national teenage traditional art festival, and the top prize in World Pungmulnolee contest of Pungmul part.

The traditional Korean Bongsan Masked Dance was specially performed for peasants and merchants in the market place or welcoming the envoy and the birth of the county magistrate. Outdoor performance of the traditional Korean Bongsan Masked Dance is held regularly for the citizen and teenagers to let people know about various cultures of Dongducheon.
